Palmetto Grant Consulting was founded by Susan Bacon, an independent grant consultant with more than 15 years grant writing experience. She is a certified grants specialist through Research Associates and has more than 20 years of experience as a professional public school educator and board member of non-profit and community organizations.

Palmetto Grant Consulting's primary focus is grant writing and funding projects that contribute to the quality and improvement of life through education, social welfare, human services, cultural and historical programs, environmental and energy issues. The company has successfully applied for and won grants from numerous foundations, including the Metro Atlanta Arts Fund, Presbyterian Women Birthday Offering, and the Robert W. Woodruff Foundation. Susan has also served on the review board for South Carolina Department of Transportation ISTEA federal grants.

The team at Palmetto Grant Consulting works primarily with rural and urban nonprofit organizations, educational entities and local governments. The company is committed to helping organizations gain the resources they need to empower others and change their lives.

Susan has a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Columbia College and a Master of Arts in Teaching from the University of South Carolina. She currently resides in Lawrenceville, Georgia.
